I sure would like to be there Sunday to see it. He was a great manager who did not mince words. It cost him his job, but he didn't care. When he was right, he told you so, and he told you why he was right. The Royals didn't want to hear the truth, but I would bet anything that there will be a ton of fans wearing Royals blue at Cooperstown tomorrow, along with a sea of Cardinals Red. That alone should make for an "interesting" crowd. I bet they will STILL be fighting about the '85 Series.

Whitey was good for baseball.

Whitey was a good "baseball man": a good player, good executive, and an excellent manager. Kudos to him.

Kudos to Andre "Hawk" Dawson and Doug "God" Harvey, both also inducted today.

I'm watching the live stream on mlb.com ... Whitey just finished his speech, and it was short and sweet.

Not a bad crowd. I gather it rained most of the day until Doug Harvey made it stop. Lots of Cubs fans present waiting on Andre Dawson. Really good to see him finally get his just due.

And Andre gave a GREAT speech. God bless him.
