Are the Yankees Truly the Most-Despised Ballclub?

I guess this article is supposed to change the way I think about YT and Shawn... I'm just... not... quite sure how! :bbwack:

It seems kind of late for a "Major League 3" backlash... :bblaugh:

Tribe is "on top" and the Pirates don't even make the top-10? That is a bogus list. I can't see any rational* baseball fan defending that list.

All part of my diabolical master plan.

I think there may be a problem with the methodology.

Sort of reminds me of "google answers", which tabulates results based on number of hits for keywords. I suppose you could "show" anything that way.

Does anyone remember Jimmy Carter's "Misery Index"? Not a great way to get reelected.

I do wonder about the methodology but I am sure that there are wide regional variances as well. Here in Central Florida, I suspect that the two most unpopular teams would be the Yankees and Dodgers while the most popular teams would be the Braves and Cardinals although the Rays are beginning to penetrate

The only rational fans are those that follow the Yanks. Following a team that does not make a realistic effort to win it all every season is irrational.

I remember when the Yanks weren't competitive. Of course, the Yankee fans I know don't remember the Pre-Jeter years.

Soem teams are trying to win, they just stink at it.
