A's averaged 89 wins per season during the last decade, with the 7th lowest average payroll. I guess moneyball works after all. Twins did ok too.
Cubs and Mets were throwing money away, but the Tigers and Orioles were far worse overall. Tigers at least had a little to show for it.

I think fans prefer championships to efficiency. I know I would.

Right now I'd like to get a single "Achievement Point". Actually getting a championship might be more than I can hope for.
